Scripture:
"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me." - 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
Devotional:
As humans, we often try to put on a strong front and hide our weaknesses. We don't want to appear vulnerable or in need of help. But the truth is, we all have weaknesses, and it's only when we acknowledge them that we can find true strength.
In 2 Corinthians 12:9, God tells us that His grace is sufficient for us, and that His power is made perfect in our weakness. This is a powerful reminder that when we're feeling weak, we can turn to God for strength.
When we try to do everything in our own strength, we're bound to fail. But when we turn to God and rely on His strength, we can do all things through Him who gives us strength (Philippians 4:13).
So, if you're feeling weak or inadequate today, we want to encourage you to turn to God for help. Ask Him to give you the strength you need to face whatever challenges you're facing. Remember that His grace is sufficient for you, and that His power is made perfect in your weakness.
As you rely on God's strength, you'll find that you're able to do things you never thought possible. You'll find that you're able to overcome obstacles and face challenges with confidence. And through it all, you'll know that it's not your own strength that's getting you through, but the strength that comes from God.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank you that your grace is sufficient for us, and that your power is made perfect in our weakness. Help us to acknowledge our weaknesses and to rely on your strength. Give us the courage and the confidence we need to face whatever challenges come our way. We trust in you, and we thank you for your faithfulness. In Jesus' name, amen.
